![The Miserable Mill (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #4)](https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1352146209m/65119.jpg)
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Book the Fourth once again finds the Baudelaire in the dubious care of yet another relative. We never find out his name (as it seems it is unpronounceable) and the children never see his face (as he is always shrouded in tobacco smoke!) This time they are forced to work in a logging mill!! Their new guardian owns the mill, and it's pretty hard yakka. But on the upside, they get a piece of gum for lunch each day!
Could things get any worse? Well, yes, yes they can. Klaus is deliberately tripped by the nasty foreman and his glasses break. He is taken to the local optometrist, whose practice is housed in a building that looks just like an eye. Yes, an eye. Does that remind you of anyone?
Klaus is hypnotised, Count Olaf returns in another disguise, there is a terrible accident, and the Baudelaire orphans are once again in mortal danger! Can they outwit Olaf and his henchmen once more?
